TRIDYsign does not publish CFE tariffs. Take the price per kWh from your bill: the residential tariff is tiered (basic, intermediate and surplus), varies by tariff region and season, and if you cross the high-consumption threshold you move to the DAC tariff, at a very different price.

- You enter the price per kWh yourself, taken from your CFE bill. TRIDYsign does not publish tariffs: they change by region, season and month.
- Average power (W) is not the power supply rating or the machine's label. An FDM printer draws far more while heating the bed than in steady state. The only reliable figure comes from a plug-in energy meter.
- Constant average power is assumed for the whole print.
- In tiered mode, the print's kWh are charged ON TOP of the consumption already accumulated in the billing period.
- Tier limits are cumulative and you enter them yourself, exactly as they appear on your bill.
Limitations
- CFE uses tiered tariffs (basic, intermediate and surplus) that vary by tariff region, season and month, and the DAC tariff applies if you exceed the high-consumption threshold. Check your bill: it is the only valid source for your case.
- The billing period does not line up with your print. A long job can push you into the next tier and make all later consumption in that period more expensive, not just the printer's.
- Does not model fixed charges, adjustments, subsidies or taxes that appear on your bill. If present, your real cost will be higher.
- Ignores everything else in the print room: extractor fan, dehumidifier, filament dryer, lighting and computer.
- Ignores power-supply losses and the machine's standby draw between prints.

- The peso-per-kWh tariff is entered by the user from their CFE bill, including the consumption tier they fall into.
- Average power should be measured with a plug-in meter; the power-supply label states the maximum, not real draw.
- Mexican domestic 127 V supply is assumed; the kWh figure does not change with voltage, but the equipment must be compatible.
- Accessory consumption (filament dryer, extractor fan, camera) is not counted unless you add it as extra wattage.
Limitations
- It does not model Mexico's DAC tariff or CFE's consumption tiers: if your bimonthly usage pushes you into DAC, your real marginal cost will be higher than this tool shows.
- It does not separate warm-up (high draw, few minutes) from steady state.
- Consumption depends on ambient temperature: the same printer draws more in January in Toluca than in August in Culiacán.
- Without a plug-in meter, any average wattage you enter is an estimate.
