How to report an error

Write to correcciones@tridysign.com. It helps enormously if you include:

• The exact page address.
• The specific sentence or figure that is wrong.
• What it should say, and if possible where the correct source says it.

You do not need to be polite or well-written about it. A link and one line is plenty.

Typos versus substantive corrections

We treat two different things in two different ways:

• Typo. A spelling mistake, a broken link, a duplicated word, a formatting slip. It changes the meaning of nothing. We fix it silently, with no note.
• Substantive correction. A wrong figure, a mistranscribed number, a misattributed source, a recommendation that rested on something false. We fix it and log it with a date in the update history of that article, which anyone can open at the foot of the page.

If the correction changes the conclusion of the article — for example, if we stop recommending a machine — we also say so in the body of the text, not only in the log.

Updates that are not corrections

An article also changes without anybody having been wrong: a price rises, a new revision ships, a manufacturer finally publishes a figure that was missing. Those edits are logged with their date too, marked as an update, so the modification date of a page is always explainable.

Response times

We are a small team and we will not promise a response time we cannot hold. What we do hold: if the error affects the safety of whoever is printing — a dangerous temperature, a resin handling instruction, an electrical warning — the correction jumps ahead of everything else in the queue.

If you write and hear nothing, write again. It is a queue, not indifference.

Manufacturers, retailers and right of reply

If you represent a brand or a shop and believe we published an incorrect figure about your product, write to the same address with the official source that disproves it. We correct gladly against documentation.

What we do not do is withdraw an unfavourable analysis or submit it for prior approval. See the review and testing policy.
