Short definition
MSLA is the resin printing technology that uses an LCD screen as a mask to cure an entire layer at once with ultraviolet light.
Full definition
A UV light array shines from below and the LCD screen lets light through only at the pixels matching that layer's cross-section. Because the whole layer cures at once, print time depends on the part's height rather than on how many objects sit on the platform: printing one miniature or twenty takes almost the same. It is the technology in practically every home resin printer, and resolution is expressed by the screen's pixel size. Typical exposure times run from 20 to 40 seconds on bottom layers and 1.5 to 3.6 seconds on normal ones.
