PETG-CF
PETG reinforced with carbon fibre: stiffer and more dimensionally stable than PETG, with a matte black surface and far less stringing. Prusa publishes 265 ± 10 °C nozzle and 90 ± 10 °C bed for its PETG Carbon Fiber; Bambu Lab publishes 240–270 °C, a 60–80 °C bed and drying at 65 °C for 8 hours. Both require a hardened nozzle.
Safety and handling
Normal filament ventilation and the same abrasion precautions as any fibre-filled composite: hardened steel nozzle, mask while sanding, wet sanding where possible. The bed runs between 80 and 100 °C, hot enough to burn. Prusa describes its PETG Carbon Fiber as 'almost odourless when printing', which does not remove the need to ventilate the room.

Strengths
- Much stiffer than PETG: Bambu reports a 2910 MPa bending modulus versus 1670 MPa
- Better dimensional stability while printing
- Better heat resistance than PETG (74 °C deflection per Bambu)
- Almost no stringing, unlike unfilled PETG
- Very clean matte black surface
Weaknesses
- Lower toughness than plain PETG: it gains stiffness and loses the ability to bend
- Abrasive: it requires a hardened steel nozzle
- Prusa warns it is not suitable for small parts
- Clearly more expensive than PETG
- Hygroscopic: it needs drying before use
