Filament
TPU 95A
The general-purpose flexible filament: printable rubber for cases, plugs, wheels and gaskets. Prusa recommends 220–240 °C nozzle and 55–75 °C bed for its TPU 95A; Flashforge publishes 1.2 to 1.25 g/cm³ density to ISO 1183 for its TPU95A and recommends printing slowly.
Safety and handling
Low risk compared with ABS or resin, but Prusa flags one specific point: when running high-flow nozzles inside an enclosure, ventilation is essential; on the Core One opening the vent grill is enough, and on other machines the enclosure door should stay open. Ventilate as you would for any filament, do not touch the hot nozzle, and keep the spool in a drybox with desiccant: damp TPU not only prints badly, it can also clog.

Strengths
- Flexible and elastic: it springs back after deforming
- Very resistant to abrasion, tearing, oils and greases
- It does not crack or warp the way rigid materials do
- At low infill it behaves like foam; at high infill, like hard rubber
- Needs no enclosure
Weaknesses
- You have to print slowly: Fillamentum recommends 20–30 mm/s for its TPU
- It tangles in the extruder gears, especially on bowden setups
- Hygroscopic: when damp it strings and bubbles
- Poor bridging unless cooling is adjusted
- Low resistance to water, acetone, acids and alcohols
Common uses
- Phone cases and protectors
- Wheels, tyres and anti-vibration feet
- Gaskets, seals and plugs
- Straps, living hinges and parts that bend
- Soles and insoles
