Resin
Resina lavable con agua
Resin whose freshly printed part is washed in water instead of isopropyl alcohol, which removes the most expensive and most flammable consumable from the workshop. Anycubic publishes 1.07 to 1.09 g/cm³ density to ASTM D792 for its Water-Wash Resin 2.0 (midpoint 1.08), 190–230 mPa·s viscosity and 2 to 2.5 s layer exposure.
Safety and handling
The critical point with this resin is a dangerous misunderstanding: washing with water does not make it harmless. It still needs nitrile gloves, glasses and ventilation, and still must not touch bare skin. Most importantly, the wash water contains dissolved uncured resin and cannot be poured down the drain or on the garden, because it is toxic to aquatic life. The correct procedure is to expose the wash water to sunlight or a UV lamp until the resin coagulates, filter out the solid, cure it and take it to a hazardous-waste collection point. Keep the bottle in its original opaque container and away from children and pets.

Strengths
- Washes in water: no buying litres of isopropyl alcohol and no storing flammable liquid
- Low viscosity (190–230 mPa·s), which makes filling and cleaning the vat easier
- Fast exposure: 2 to 2.5 s per layer
- A good option for anyone who reacts badly to alcohol
- One of the cheapest resins in total running cost
Weaknesses
- 'Water washable' is not 'safe': the liquid resin is still an irritant and a sensitiser
- The wash water ends up contaminated with uncured resin and is hazardous waste, not dirty water
- Volume shrinkage of 2.2 to 5.5 %, a wide range depending on the part
- Lower elongation at break (18–22 %) than other formulations
- Parts can soften if left soaking too long
Common uses
- First prints for anyone starting out with resin
- Miniatures and figures for home use
- Small workshops where storing alcohol is a problem
- Appearance prototypes printed in volume
