Resina tenaz (tough)

A resin meant for parts that bend before they break: elongation at break rises to 60–72 %, well above the 25–30 % of standard resin. Anycubic publishes 1.10 to 1.15 g/cm³ density to ASTM D792 for its Tough Resin 2.0 (midpoint 1.13), 450–500 mPa·s viscosity and 143 J/m Izod impact, the highest in its consumer range.

Safety and handling

The usual resin rules: nitrile gloves, safety glasses, ventilation, zero skin contact and immediate soap-and-water washing if there is any. Wash with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and cure under UV afterwards; until then the part is sticky because uncured resin sits on its surface. Its high viscosity means more resin clings to the part and to the vat, so washing has to be more careful, not faster. Used resin and alcohol are hazardous waste: cure in sunlight and take to a collection point, never down the drain.

Strengths

  • 60–72 % elongation at break: the part yields instead of shattering

  • Does not resist strong solvents once cured
